!! just in from the woolery: !!
i recently ordered a high speed adaptor kit from the woolery for my wheel and am anxious to try it out.
it consists of a super small circumference whorl and drive band. you use this whorl for making finer yarns.
a smaller whorl adds more twist with less effort.
now i don’t have to treadle like mad to achieve enough twist to create a smaller girth yarn!
i also ordered a pom pom making kit for corinne and i from the woolery. what a nice find! i like putting them on top of hats or decorating gifts with them and corinne struggled with making one recently with a cardboard template and it just didn’t cut it.

i love how it turned out. and it’s a nice thick wool.
i embroidered some subtle eyes instead of using buttons (choking hazard!).

i also scored a few project bags from the recent surveying and mapping conference courtesy of dewberry. those dorky drawstring/backpack ShWAG bags make the best project bags!
